(GLO)- On the morning of May 23, the People's Committee of Duc Co district (Gia Lai province) held a ceremony to commend and reward athlete Le Thi Nhi (Chu Ty town, Duc Co district) for winning a gold medal in Kickboxing at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the District Party Committee, the District People's Committee and local agencies and departments. At the ceremony, Mr. Vu Manh Dinh - Chairman of Duc Co District People's Committee sent his congratulations to Le Thi Nhi and her family.
Mr. Dinh emphasized that the achievement of boxer Le Thi Nhi is the pride of the district as she has brought glory to the country, especially this is the first gold medal in the history of Gia Lai sports.

Based on the existing foundation, in the coming time, Duc Co district will focus on investing in strong sports such as Traditional Martial Arts, Kickboxing, Taekwondo, etc.
The Chairman of Duc Co District People's Committee thanked athlete Le Thi Nhi for her efforts in training and competing, helping to spread the beautiful image of the people and land of Duc Co to domestic and international friends.
At the same time, Mr. Dinh affirmed that he will be ready to support and accompany the athlete and her family so that in the coming time, Le Thi Nhi can focus on training and continue to further develop her abilities in major arenas.

Also at the ceremony, Duc Co District Youth Union presented a Certificate of Merit to Le Thi Nhi for her outstanding achievements at the 32nd SEA Games.
Previously, on the afternoon of May 22, the Party Committee, People's Committee, People's Council and agencies and organizations of Chu Ty town visited martial artist Le Thi Nhi's house to congratulate and give gifts.
