Launching ceremony and building a pilot model of "Bani Muslim community participating in environmental protection and climate change adaptation" in 2023

On August 16, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a launching ceremony and built a pilot model of "Bani Muslim community participating in environmental protection and climate change adaptation" in 2023 in Tuan Tu village, An Hai commune (Ninh Phuoc). Attending were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Van Binh, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Phan Tan Canh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; departments, branches, sectors, organizations and a large number of local people.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Van Binh emphasized that environmental protection (BVMT) and climate change adaptation (CC) are important issues, having a great impact on the sustainable development of the country, ensuring national defense, security and social security. This is not only the rights and obligations of organizations and individuals but also the culture, ethics and standards to ensure a civilized and developed society. Therefore, he called on cadres, party members, religious organizations and households in the village community to further raise awareness and responsibility in building effective models.

Through specific contents such as: Strengthening environmental sanitation in public places, practicing civilized lifestyle, not littering, eliminating harmful habits that affect the environment and being ready to adapt to climate change situations. Actively protecting, managing, exploiting, using resources and energy economically and effectively. Regularly organizing general cleaning in villages and hamlets; encouraging all households to plant trees, build flower gardens and ornamental plants. Participating in monitoring the implementation of environmental protection and climate change adaptation of organizations and individuals in the community. Summarizing, replicating the model, praising and rewarding collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing the model.

Provincial leaders, local departments, branches and sectors witnessed representatives of households signing a commitment to compete in responding to the model.

Responding to the launching ceremony, the village chief, the village front committee and households signed a commitment to compete and expressed their determination to actively and effectively participate in the model to protect the environment and adapt to climate change. On this occasion, provincial and local leaders and residents participated in planting trees at the village headquarters.
