Signing Ceremony of Media Cooperation Agreement between Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam News Agency, period 2025

On April 22, 2025 in Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam News Agency held a signing ceremony of the Media Cooperation Program for the period 2025-2029.

Attending the signing ceremony were Comrade Vu Viet Trang - Party Secretary, General Director of Vietnam News Agency; Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee; leaders of Vietnam News Agency; leaders of People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches and sectors of Dien Bien province.

At the ceremony, comrade Tran Quoc Cuong affirmed that Vietnam News Agency has made an important contribution in communicating the image of the land, people and history of Dien Bien province, associated with the Dien Bien Phu Victory to the people and friends of the world . With the strength of being a national news agency with a wide and strongly developing information network, Vietnam News Agency will continue to coordinate more closely with Dien Bien province in propagating the cultural and tourism strengths of the province and training human resources and techniques in the context that Dien Bien province will merge Dien Bien Phu Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station.

The cooperation content between Dien Bien province and Vietnam News Agency includes:

- Propagating new viewpoints, policies, and regulations of the Party, Government, and State for Dien Bien province. Achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province.

- Widely promote and publicize the image of the people and heroic land of Dien Bien to a wide range of readers and audiences at home and abroad, creating consensus and unity in direction and management to introduce, exploit and use the potential strengths of the province.

- Propagating the policies and guidelines of Dien Bien province; propagating the implementation and results of the implementation of Resolutions, Directives, conclusions, programs, action plans of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dien Bien province; especially, policies on attracting investment, developing economy, culture, society, strengthening security and defense development, foreign information, major programs and projects, results of applying science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province, issues of social security, education, tourism, transportation, culture... to create a transparent, accurate, timely information environment, contributing to enhancing the image, position, potential, advantages, and improving the efficiency of attracting investment of the province.

- Propagating typical models of Dien Bien province in emulation movements to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; good people and good deeds; good and effective ways of performing tasks of economic, cultural and social development, ensuring national defense and security, etc.

- Promote important events, domestic and foreign activities of Dien Bien province associated with brand positioning on national and international levels.

- Reflecting on existing problems and limitations that need to be overcome in all areas from state management, economic development, culture, society, national defense, security to social security, improving people's quality of life; ensuring objective, constructive requirements, with positive orientation to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, promoting receptiveness, acceptance for improvement,...

- Closely and effectively coordinate with agencies, units and localities of Dien Bien province to provide and grasp accurate, objective and true information to verify, clarify, correct or refute false information, dispel misunderstandings and frustrations in the community, contribute to stabilizing the situation and public opinion in Dien Bien province,...

- Cooperate and support the opening of professional training courses on journalism; apply technology, thereby helping to improve the quality of works, expand access to information and reach the public. Support local press agencies to add English, French, Russian, Spanish, Chinese and Russian versions to bring official information about Dien Bien to international friends, especially young readers.

The content of propaganda information about Dien Bien province is posted on VNA's information products, including: Source information on the electronic portal https://news.vnanet.vn; Tin Tuc and Dan Toc newspaper; VietnamPlus electronic newspaper; Sports and Culture newspaper; Vietnam News and Law newspaper; Le Courrier du Vietnam newspaper; Vietnam Pictorial Newspaper; Center for Digital Content and Communication, etc. Information is presented in many rich, multimedia forms, with modern interactive capabilities. Regarding language, in addition to Vietnamese, propaganda information about Dien Bien province is also translated into 05 languages: English, French, Russian, Spanish, Chinese.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Center for Digital Content and Communications will be the two focal agencies to advise on the implementation of contents related to the program.

This is a program to enhance coordination between the People's Committee of Dien Bien province and VNA in communication work; build a cooperative relationship, synergy, mutual understanding, in a spirit of responsibility and constructiveness, supporting each other for mutual development.
