Inauguration ceremony of 500 kV line 3 project

On the morning of August 29, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) coordinated with the National Power Transmission Corporation to organize the inauguration ceremony of the 500 kV line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen).

The inauguration ceremony was held in a combination of live and online formats, with the main bridge at the 500 kV Pho Noi Transformer Station (Hung Yen) and 8 bridges in 8 provinces where the project passes through. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech at the main bridge at Pho Noi (Hung Yen).

Attending the bridge points were comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Deputy Prime Ministers, leaders of departments, ministries, branches, central agencies; leaders of provinces and people where the Project passes through.

Attending the Ninh Binh bridge were comrade Nguyen Cao Son, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors, the Provincial Youth Union and related localities.

The 500 kV line 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi project, invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation, has a total investment of about 22,300 billion VND, passing through 9 provinces: Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen. With a total length of about 519 km, the project has a scale of 1,177 poles; of which, the tallest pole is 145 m, the heaviest pole weighs up to 415 tons. These are power transmission works with a particularly important role, enhancing the power transmission capacity on the 500 kV North-Central line, increasing power supply to the North.

Passing through 9 provinces, with many sections crossing high mountains, extremely difficult terrain. The weather was scorching hot, the rain was harsh. The workload was large, while the construction time was very urgent. But everyone joined hands, unanimously "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain" on the construction site to bring the Project to the finish line according to the direction of the Prime Minister.

For more than 210 days with over 5,000 hours, tens of thousands of people at the construction site of the 500 kV line 3 project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) have worked tirelessly and enthusiastically with the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", "working during the day is not enough, working at night". With that determination and effort, the project was completed, energized and put into operation in accordance with the requirements directed by the Prime Minister.

The project passes through 11 communes of Kim Son district, with 21 pole locations, over 7 km long.

At the inauguration ceremony, leaders of localities, units and social organizations focused on clarifying the results and lessons learned during the implementation of the Project. Delegates all agreed that, despite many difficulties and challenges during the construction process, with new thinking, methods and approaches, the Project implementation time was shortened to the maximum.

In particular, during the implementation process, localities and units regularly received direct and close leadership and direction from the Government, the Prime Minister, leaders of ministries, departments, branches, local authorities, especially the consensus of the majority of people, which created unprecedented results because according to assessments, projects of similar scale and volume must be implemented within 3 to 4 years.

For Ninh Binh province, the section passing through the province is part of the Nam Dinh I-Thanh Hoa Thermal Power Plant 500 kV transmission line component project, with a total length of 73 km. The project passes through 11 communes in Kim Son district, with 21 pole locations, with a length of more than 7 km. The land use area of ​​the project is 3.79 ha, affecting 93 households whose land was recovered for pole bases and 24 households whose power line corridors were affected.

Recognizing the significance and importance of the Project, Ninh Binh province has mobilized the participation of the entire political system to implement the Project, becoming the earliest locality to complete the handover of the entire site area to the construction contractor.

Speaking at the main bridge, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the companionship and drastic participation in site clearance and construction support of the entire political system, ministries, branches, local authorities at all levels, and people where the Project passes through; commended the efforts to overcome difficulties, the proactiveness, flexibility, and creativity in the construction process of the investor and contractor, bringing the Project to completion on schedule.

The operation of the 500kV Quang Trach-Pho Noi project is of special importance to the energy security of the whole country. In particular, the project will contribute to increasing the confidence of foreign investors in the commitments of the Government, and is a symbolic project for the spirit, courage, aspiration, belief and solidarity, and constant creativity of the Vietnamese people.

After the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister requested Vietnam Electricity Group and the National Power Transmission Corporation to coordinate with agencies and localities to do a good job of environmental restoration and sanitation; organize the operation of the 500 kV line 3 into the national power system in the safest and most efficient way; continue to invest in the power grid system to ensure adequate and stable supply to serve the country's development; actively participate in social security work, stabilize people's lives...

The Prime Minister also requested the Party Committees and authorities of the 9 provinces where the Project passes through to coordinate with the investor to continue to care for and continuously improve the lives of people affected by the Project. With the spirit of "speed", "once launched, it is a victory" of the 500 kV line project, circuit 3, Quang Trach - Pho Noi, it will be a valuable lesson for people, businesses and the entire political system to implement other key national projects and works; continue the development of the country's infrastructure, contributing to a breakthrough in infrastructure development; complete 2 goals: Building and defending the socialist Fatherland; aiming to welcome Party congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress.
