The largest hot air balloon festival in the country ever is about to take place in Dong Nai

That was the information given by Mr. Bui Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province, at the press conference announcing the Dong Nai Ceramics - Hot Air Balloon Festival event in 2025.

According to the organizers, the festival will feature 50 hot air balloons symbolizing the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. This is the largest hot air balloon festival ever in Vietnam with many special activities taking place at Son Tien Eco-tourism Area (An Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City) and Nguyen Van Tri Park, Dong Nai Riverbank. The event will take place from April 27 to 30.

Specifically, all hot air balloons will fly simultaneously, creating a spectacular and impressive scene; visitors will participate in the flying, viewing the entire Bien Hoa City and surrounding areas from a height of no more than 50m; visit the hot air balloon; flower lantern night and paragliding performance, fabric-wing aircraft, and large kite flying.

Along with the above activities is the Dong Nai Ceramic Festival with exhibition activities of unique ceramic products, with high cultural and aesthetic values ​​of Dong Nai fine art ceramics and famous ceramic product lines nationwide at the Provincial Event and Foreign Affairs Center (Provincial Square).

Mr. Bui Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province and leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of the province chaired the press conference.

The Organizing Committee will also hold a seminar on "Solutions to preserve and develop traditional ceramics in the integration period" at Dong Nai College of Decorative Arts; organize logos and brand identity for Bien Hoa - Dong Nai Traditional Ceramics Festival; visit Tan Hanh Ceramics Cluster.

At the same time, at the Dong Nai Province Event and Foreign Affairs Center, there was also an event introducing Bien Hoa Ceramic products, Thanh Ha Ceramic - Quang Nam; Red Ceramic - Vinh Long; Bau Truc Ceramic - Binh Thuan; Binh Duong Ceramic and many other unique ceramic products of Tan Hanh Ceramic Industrial Cluster.

The flower lantern night on the evening of April 30 with many lighted hot air balloons flying over the Dong Nai River was held at Nguyen Van Tri Park, Bien Hoa City.

According to Mr. Bui Thanh Nam, the combination of both events, with one side being pottery, representing the cultural flow with traditional craft villages of Bien Hoa, the other side being hot air balloons, modern flying devices like a message carrying ambitions, carrying the aspirations of the Dong Nai region to fly up and fly higher.
