The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025: Honoring coffee growers through many meaningful activities

From March 9 to 13, in Buon Ma Thuot city and some localities of Dak Lak province, special activities of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025 will take place.

The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 with the theme "Buon Ma Thuot - Destination of world coffee" will have many activities to honor coffee growers such as: Specialized exhibition fair of coffee and OCOP products; Specialty coffee roasting competition; International trade connection conference - Connecting and elevating Vietnamese agricultural products; Coffee camp; Free coffee drinking... At the Festival, it is expected that for the first time, there will be activities to visit and give gifts to coffee farmers in difficult circumstances to recognize the contributions of farmers to the coffee industry; encourage and motivate farmers to continue to stick with coffee trees.

The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place at 8:00 p.m. on March 10, 2025 at 10/3 Square, Buon Ma Thuot City, consisting of two parts: Opening ceremony and art program, through the form of traditional and modern dramatization to introduce unique images of coffee, coffee culture, people, the space of gong culture of the Central Highlands, the potentials, strengths and tourism of the province.

Within the framework of the main activities of the Festival, the Street Festival is scheduled to open at 3:30 p.m. on March 10, 2025 at the Nga Sau Monument, Buon Ma Thuot City. In addition to art troupes from various countries, artisans, artists, students, children, etc. marching and interacting, there will also be staff and workers from businesses, business establishments, coffee factories and coffee farmers participating.

In addition, the first Coffee Camp will take place from March 10-12 at the CADA Plantation Historical and Cultural Relic Site, Krong Pac District with activities such as: Camping; OCOP product display and culinary exchange; photo exhibition; Farmer Competition; cultural and artistic exchange; competition in preliminary processing, processing, roasting, blending specialty coffee; Creative Youth Festival and campfire night. The camp aims to promote the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand, develop high-quality, sustainable coffee and specialty coffee; honor coffee growers, processors and traders.

Within the framework of the Festival, there will also be discovery tours, including coffee tours. At the Coffee and OCOP Products Exhibition Fair, there are expected to be 400 booths displaying coffee products, coffee industry support products, machinery and equipment serving the coffee industry and OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, etc.

The 2025 Vietnam Specialty Coffee Roasting Competition will also take place at the Festival. This is the first time the competition has been held within the framework of the Festival on a large scale, according to international standards. The competition is a specialized event about coffee, a core activity to attract coffee lovers, honoring the coffee roasting profession in the industry value chain. In particular, the competition has accompanying events such as the Talk show "Buon Ma Thuot - Destination of the world's coffee", gathering coffee lovers, investors, businesses, farmers, tourism workers, young people who love creativity to share ideas and strategies to build Buon Ma Thuot into a symbol of specialty coffee...
