The 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival in 2024 with the theme "I love Vietnamese Ao Dai" will take place from March 7 to 17 at the following locations: President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue walking street, Lam Son Park, Youth Cultural House, Ao Dai Museum, QT4 Square (Saigon Riverside Park, Thu Duc City)... and at historical sites, cultural sites, tourist destinations, and constructions of Ho Chi Minh City...
This year’s Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival will include the following activities: The Festival Opening Ceremony; Ao Dai performance scheduled to take place from 7am to 10am on March 8th at Nguyen Hue Walking Street. This is also an event to celebrate the 114th International Women’s Day on March 8th, with the highlight being the Ao Dai performance with the participation of about 5,000 people of different ages and genders.

In addition, the Ao Dai Festival also features an art program with the theme “Ao Dai - Colors of Ho Chi Minh City”; “Charming Ao Dai of Ho Chi Minh City” contest; Ao Dai drawing contest; Online Ao Dai contest with the theme “Ao Dai and 100 interesting things of Ho Chi Minh City”; Logo design contest to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Ao Dai Festival of Ho Chi Minh City; Exhibition space and interaction with Ao Dai; Discussion “Beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai and international integration”…

The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival has the participation of more than 20 guests, famous people working in many fields such as politics, economics, beauty queens, singers, actors, travel bloggers, etc. This year, the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival also received the participation of 30 famous ao dai designers from many localities across the country.

After 10 years, the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival has become a unique annual cultural-tourism product, inspiring the city's residents and international friends about traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai, attracting tourists to visit the city.
The Organizing Committee expects that the activities in the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival will create a spread and response from the people of the city, 21 districts and Thu Duc city, businesses, agencies, departments, branches, organizations and tourists, especially female civil servants, public employees and workers who will respond by wearing Ao Dai in public reception activities and at the office during the Festival.

According to Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the spread of the Ao Dai Festival will contribute to making Ao Dai a familiar outfit for city residents from daily life, beauty at the office to important events.
“The Ao Dai Festival also contributes to conveying the image of culture and tourism of the city in particular and Vietnam tourism in general to domestic people and international tourists through activities in the program and media channels, thereby contributing to stimulating tourism and supporting businesses in related fields,” Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa affirmed.
