The number of visitors to this year's food festival is 1.5 times higher than the festival held in 2023 and at many times the outdoor space of Van Thanh tourist area is overloaded.
According to Saigontourist Group, 2 days before the festival officially opened to the public, the number of pre-sold tickets reached 10,000, nearly 3 times the number of pre-sold tickets for the 2022 festival and nearly double the number of pre-sold tickets for the 2023 festival.
Not only attracting people from Ho Chi Minh City, the food festival at Van Thanh also attracts many domestic and international tourists and overseas Vietnamese.
During the 4 days of opening, the food festival impressed many diners with its scale, food quality and sideline activities. Many diners returned the following days to enjoy more than 400 delicious dishes from the three regions of North, Central and South, immerse themselves in the traditional cultural and artistic space, interact with artisans and learn how to make 50 types of traditional cakes, and relive childhood memories with folk games.
Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group, shared that the value that the food festival brings is not just the statistics, but the emotions, satisfaction, and love that diners have for this event.
Saigontourist Food and Culture Festival 2024 attracts more than 60,000 visitors in 4 opening days
"After the success of three festivals, we plan to elevate the Saigontourist Group Food and Culture Festival to an international level and plan to bring the festival abroad to serve overseas Vietnamese, which is also an opportunity to promote tourism in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam tourism in general," Mr. Pham Huy Binh informed.
One of the new features of this year's festival is the contest "Top 10 dishes you must try at the Saigontourist Group Food and Culture Festival 2024". The organizers also judged the most impressive booths out of more than 40 booths of more than 40 units participating in this year's festival.
Folk activities recreate a familiar picture of the homeland in the festival space.

Previously, the Saigontourist Group Food and Culture Festival was voted the Best Food Festival in Asia 2022 and 2023 by the World Culinary Awards. This is also the first Vietnamese food festival to receive the award "Best Food Festival in the World 2023".
