On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024), on the morning of November 21, at the special national relic of Buon Ma Thuot Prison, the Organizing Committee of activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province solemnly held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the revolutionary soldiers who sacrificed their lives.

This is a special event for the Party Committee, army and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province to express their deep gratitude and appreciation for the great contributions of the communist soldiers at Buon Ma Thuot Prison, who overcame all difficulties and hardships, and sacrificed their blood and bones in the cause of fighting, protecting, building and developing Dak Lak province.

Attending the incense offering ceremony were comrades Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for activities celebrating the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province; Huynh Thi Chien Hoa - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Ngoc Nghi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Tuan Ha - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee for activities celebrating the 120th anniversary of the founding of the province; Y Giang Gry Nie Knong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; comrades members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the leaders of departments, branches, sectors, unions, armed forces of the province and Buon Ma Thuot City.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the historical milestone of November 22, 1904, when, in the face of the persistent and fierce struggle of the people of the Central Highlands and the pressure of the Nguyen Dynasty, the Governor-General of Indochina was forced to issue a Decree to return Dak Lak from Laos to Vietnam. This event had a legal significance, confirming Vietnam's complete national territorial sovereignty , a milestone marking the establishment of Dak Lak province; the history of the resilient and indomitable struggle against foreign invaders of the Dak Lak people with uprisings such as that of Ama Jhao (1890-1904), the struggle of N'Trang Gưh (1900-1914), the uprising of Oi H'Mai (1903-1909); the struggle of civil servants, officials, intellectuals, and students led by teachers Y Jut and Y Ut (1925-1926); The struggle of workers of the Maillot, Rossi, CHPT, CADA plantations and especially the anti-French uprising of the M'nong ethnic hero - N'Trang Long lasting for 23 years (1912-1935) are immortal heroic songs of the people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak; the birth of the first Communist Party cell of the province right at Buon Ma Thuot Prison, on November 23, 1940. From that first Party cell, the "red seeds" were sown and created for the provincial Party Committee; many intellectuals, civil servants who were ethnic minorities working for the colonial government were enlightened and transformed by the communists to become revolutionary cadres, following the Party, following Uncle Ho, having great prestige among the people of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands.

Under the leadership of the Central Party and the Government, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee has gradually matured and developed in all aspects, organized, led and mobilized the people of all ethnic groups in the province to fight from one victory to another. The victory of Buon Ma Thuot on March 10, 1975 opened the way for the victory of the Central Highlands Campaign, creating a historical turning point, accelerating the General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1975 with the climax being the victory of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, completely liberating the South and reunifying the country.

The glorious historical journey through 120 years of the province's establishment and 84 years of the provincial Party Committee's establishment is a process of leadership, struggle, sacrifice, hardship and challenges that have contributed to highlighting the golden pages of history of the Party and the Vietnamese people. Promoting the glorious 84-year tradition of the provincial Party Committee with a 120-year history of formation and development of Dak Lak province, the Party Committee, government, people and ethnic groups of Dak Lak province vow to unite, strive to compete, make efforts, and strive to successfully achieve socio-economic, defense and security goals, take care to build the Party and the political system to be increasingly clean and strong, determined to build and develop Dak Lak province to be increasingly rich, civilized, and unique, worthy of its position as the center of the Central Highlands region, determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.
