Authorities will install traffic surveillance cameras and weighing stations at intersections to prevent traffic violations and fine overloaded vehicles entering the highway.
On January 3, information from the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway Management Board said that they are reviewing the documents to prepare the budget for the bidding package to supply and install equipment for the intelligent traffic management system, toll stations, and vehicle load control on the expressway.

The entire Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway through Binh Thuan province will be installed with an intelligent traffic monitoring system (ITS).
In addition, at intersections on the route including Vinh Hao, Cho Lau, Dai Ninh, Ma Lam, Ba Bau, toll stations will be installed with vehicle load monitoring equipment.
The weighing station system will detect overloaded vehicles entering the highway, providing data to control vehicle load.
Mr. Pham Quoc Huy, Director of the Expressway Management Board, said that after approving the bid package estimate, the investor will organize the selection of a contractor for construction and installation.
"According to the plan, the construction of toll stations, camera surveillance systems, and installation of vehicle load control stations will be completed in 2025," said Mr. Huy.
Previously, at the end of August 2024, the Ministry of Transport issued Decision No. 1074/QD-BGTVT approving the adjustment and addition of vehicle load control works.
Automatic weighing systems will be installed at five intersections to prevent overloaded vehicles from entering the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway.
Project Management Board 7 is implementing the project, construction investment costs are within the total approved project investment.
