The Customs Procedure Development Implementation Team has just been established by the General Department of Customs.

The General Department of Customs has just issued Decision No. 135/QD-TCHQ to establish a Team to develop customs procedures, with Deputy General Director Au Anh Tuan as Team Leader.

According to Decision 135, the Customs Procedure Development Implementation Team is responsible for reviewing specific tasks according to the procedural order, checking and supervising customs for exported, imported, transshipped, transferred, transshipped, and transited goods; means of transport exiting, entering, and transiting that are being carried out at the border gate customs branch/outside border gate customs branch.

This team builds customs procedures for exported, imported, and transit goods and means of transport exiting, entering, and transiting according to the centralized customs clearance model at regional customs branches.

Determine the tasks, duties and coordination relationships of the units: Customs Clearance Team, Border Gate Customs/Outside Border Gate Customs during the period from when the competent authority issues the new organizational model until the implementation of the centralized customs clearance model to ensure smooth operation of goods clearance.

The customs procedure development team works centrally at the General Department of Customs headquarters until the task is completed.

This year, the Customs sector was assigned by the National Assembly to collect a State budget of 411,000 billion VND. This estimate was built on the basis of GDP growth of 6.5-7%; crude oil price of 75-80 USD/barrel. However, budget collection activities are forecast to face many difficulties and challenges from the impacts of reduced revenue.
