Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Le Thi Bich Ngoc - Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Labor Federation, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of the Capital Labor Newspaper said that on July 23, 1991, the Hanoi City Labor Federation decided to establish the Hanoi Labor Newspaper, later renamed the Capital Labor Newspaper, identified as the mouthpiece of the Capital Labor Union, the voice of workers, civil servants, and laborers.
On April 1, 1993, the Capital Labor Newspaper officially published its first issue. Over the past 30 years, generations of Capital Labor Newspaper have always promoted the best role, responsibility and mission of journalists, accompanying workers. Trade Union activities, labor production emulation movements, workers' lives and the political, socio-economic, cultural, security and order situation of the Capital and the country... are always richly depicted in each issue. The newspaper acts as a bridge connecting the Trade Union, the government, employers and workers, becoming an extended arm of the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi City Labor Federation in directing and implementing labor production emulation movements.
Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to the collective of the Capital Labor Newspaper.
In recent years, the newspaper has strongly shifted from print journalism to developing multimedia electronic journalism, with fast and accurate information; deploying many modern journalism genres. From 2 weeks of 1 print issue when it was first established, up to now, Lao Dong Thu Do newspaper has 4 publications: Print newspaper Lao Dong Thu Do, electronic newspaper Lao Dong Thu Do and 2 electronic specialized pages: Enrichment, Labor and Law.
With the efforts and achievements over the past 30 years, the collective of Lao Dong Thu Do newspaper and many individuals have been honored to receive many noble awards from all levels, sectors, Hanoi city and the Trade Union organization. The Party organization and unions in the agency have achieved the title of excellent performance for many years.
Speaking at the Anniversary Ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Pham Quang Thanh acknowledged and praised the contributions of generations of leaders, cadres, reporters, editors and workers of the Capital Labor Newspaper in the process of building, developing and growing, as well as press and propaganda activities over the past 30 years, creating the brand, reputation and position of the newspaper in social life, contributing to the overall development of the Capital Labor Union organization.
Comrade Ha Minh Hai - Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Merit of the City People's Committee to the collective of Lao Dong Thu Do newspaper.
Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Confederation Pham Quang Thanh also requested the City Labor Confederation Boards and all levels of the Capital Labor Union from the City to the grassroots to create the best conditions for the Capital Labor Newspaper to have a foundation for development; actively coordinate and support so that the newspaper can expand, reach closer to businesses, union members and workers; increase investment in human and financial resources, to promote the application of technology in journalism, keeping up with the trend of modern journalism...
On this occasion, Lao Dong Thu Do newspaper was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Hanoi People's Committee.
