On April 28, the film Black Rose was selected to be screened on the first day of the Jeonju Film Festival. Black Rose received enthusiastic responses from Korean experts after its first screening. In addition, representatives of the film including director Thang Vu, actors Phuong Anh Dao, Lanh Thanh, and producer Mai Le also attended the screening and interacted with the audience.

In particular, the two actors Phuong Anh Dao and Lanh Thanh left an impression on the Korean audience and experts not only because of their acting in the film but also because the Black Rose couple wore Ao Dai together to promote Vietnamese culture on the red carpet of the International Film Festival. Both chose the Ao Dai design by Thuy Design House with a not-so-outstanding blue color but showing enough sophistication to match the spirit of the Vietnamese people.
The Vietnamese actor couple received a lot of praise from the Korean press. Actor Lanh Thanh said that wearing Ao Dai on the red carpet of the International Film Festival was a long-standing wish of his. In 2019, when he first participated in the Busan International Film Festival as the male lead of the movie Dear Mom, I'm Going , Lanh Thanh also chose an Ao Dai by designer Nguyen Tien Doan to appear on the red carpet.
On the occasion of the producer and actress Black Rose visiting Korea at a special screening within the framework of the Jeonju International Film Festival, Phuong Anh Dao also shared about her role in Black Rose, she said: "As the director said, the development of the film's story is like dominoes, Ha's shortcomings and psychological weaknesses are increasingly revealed. It is really interesting because this is a work with a strong psychological aspect in the development of the story, and I feel it is different from other films".
With Lanh Thanh, he said: "This collaboration with Korea is very meaningful. It is an opportunity for me to directly experience the culture and style of another country, and I want to show the image of a more perfect actor by watching and learning more from this collaboration."
Black Rose is the Vietnamese version of the original KBS drama Babysitter (directed by Kim Yong-soo, written by Choi Hyo-bi, released in 2016) which attracted attention with Cho Yeo-jeong's strong performance. The film tells the story of My (played by Miu Le) who becomes a bat breeder to avenge her dead brother. The seemingly perfect family of Ha (Phuong Anh Dao) and Son (Lanh Thanh) is in crisis when My appears. After its first premiere in Korea, the film is expected to be released in the second half of 2023 in Vietnam.
