On April 28, the film Black Rose was selected to be screened on the first day of the Jeonju Film Festival. Black Rose received enthusiastic responses from Korean experts after its first screening. In 2019, when he first participated in the Busan International Film Festival as the male lead of the movie Dear Mom, I'm Going , Lanh Thanh also chose an Ao Dai by designer Nguyen Tien Doan to appear on the red carpet.

Black Rose is the Vietnamese version of the original KBS drama Babysitter (directed by Kim Yong-soo, written by Choi Hyo-bi, released in 2016) which attracted attention with Cho Yeo-jeong's strong performance. The film tells the story of My (played by Miu Le) who becomes a bat breeder to avenge her dead brother. The seemingly perfect family of Ha (Phuong Anh Dao) and Son (Lanh Thanh) is in crisis when My appears. After its first premiere in Korea, the film is expected to be released in the second half of 2023 in Vietnam.
