On the morning of February 3, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak) and the construction contractor held a ceremony to kick off the spring of At Ty at the construction site of the Ea Tam Irrigation Reservoir project.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai attended the inspection and presented gifts, encouraging the workers constructing Ea Tam Irrigation Reservoir to start work on the first day of the new year.

At the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Thien Van sent New Year wishes and encouragement to the representatives of the investor and construction units. This is an important project not only for Buon Ma Thuot city but also very meaningful for Dak Lak province. Therefore, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee requested the units to concentrate on completing the project on schedule.
The leaders of the Provincial People's Committee presented gifts, New Year wishes and encouragement to the representatives of the investor and construction units at the project.
Ea Tam Irrigation Reservoir Project is built in Tu An Ward (Buon Ma Thuot City), invested by the City People's Committee.
In the urgent atmosphere of the first day of spring, Mr. Vu Van Hung - Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee - informed that the Ea Tam Irrigation Reservoir Project is very meaningful to the locality.
Ea Tam irrigation lake is built in combination with the construction of new urban chains, cultural service areas, sports and physical training areas, commercial areas, resorts, etc.
The project was implemented in two phases, and the implementation process encountered many difficulties and obstacles. However, with the strong participation of the entire political system and related units, the project is now gradually approaching the finish line. Therefore, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City expressed his determination to work with the contractor and related units to complete the project by 2026.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thien, Brigade Commander of Brigade 470 - Construction Company 470, Regiment 12, representative of the joint venture contractor building Ea Tam Irrigation Reservoir, said that the 5 construction units will focus resources and are determined to work day and night to complete the set schedule.
Leaders of Buon Ma Thuot city gave gifts and encouraged workers of the construction unit.
“This second phase mainly dredging the lake bed and building embankments. We are determined to complete the entire work by March 2026,” emphasized Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thien.
The Ea Tam Irrigation Reservoir Project has an investment of over VND 1,468 billion from the central and local budgets. When put into operation, the irrigation reservoir will be 31.6 hectares wide, with a capacity of 1.77 million m3 of water. The project will provide domestic water for about 25,000 people in Buon Ma Thuot City and neighboring localities; ensuring irrigation water for 250 hectares of rice, coffee and fruit trees.
