Provincial People's Committee leaders inspect key projects in Ninh Son district

On June 5, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the progress of the Song Than reservoir project and the road connecting Tan Son town (Ninh Son) to Ta Nang intersection, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province (section of land clearance and conversion of forest use purposes).

According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Works (the investor), the Song Than reservoir project has completed the construction of the earth dam, deep discharge culvert combined with diversion, auxiliary dam 1, auxiliary dam 2, reservoir channel, reservoir flood avoidance road, management house, and fence. The concrete road surface and finishing work have not been completed yet due to the transportation of materials to the main dam construction... The total volume of construction and installation items of the project to date has reached 92%.

Regarding the road connecting Tan Son town to Ta Nang intersection, the section from Tan Son town to Ma Noi commune has been completed and accepted for use since December 2023; the remaining section from Ma Noi commune to Ta Nang intersection has been constructed for about 9 km, and 14.9 km has not yet completed the work of collecting forest products and converting forest land. The total estimated completion value is 80% of the contract value for the sections with available land.

Through the actual inspection, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor of the Song Than reservoir project to proactively make a specific plan for each item; direct contractors to concentrate human resources, urge to speed up the progress of implementation; regularly monitor the construction process, ensuring the quality of the project. Along with that, the investor coordinates with the local authorities to urgently and thoroughly resolve 6 cases of undelivered land in the reservoir, striving to basically complete the water storage by mid-August this year. For the road project connecting Tan Son town to Ta Nang intersection, he requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, forestry units and Ninh Son district to coordinate in reviewing the current status, declaring forest trees to develop a suitable plan for wood collection, avoiding loss and waste, creating favorable conditions for the construction unit to speed up the workload, promoting the disbursement of allocated capital.
