Ho Chi Minh City leaders offer incense to commemorate heroic Vietnamese mothers and heroic martyrs

On the morning of February 6 (December 27), at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery (Thu Duc City), a delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City led by Comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, visited and offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic Vietnamese mothers and heroic martyrs on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.

Joining the delegation were comrades: Phan Van Mai, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Tran Kim Yen, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; along with comrades of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, leaders of departments, branches, districts and Thu Duc City.

At the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery (Nameless Hill, Thu Duc City), the delegation respectfully offered the heroic Vietnamese mothers and heroic martyrs a wreath with the inscription: "The City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City respectfully pay their respects", expressing deep gratitude for the contributions of the heroic Vietnamese mothers; heroic martyrs, those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The delegation observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic Vietnamese Mother, the heroic martyrs, and the outstanding sons of the nation who sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

After the flower and incense offering ceremony, the delegates went to the graves of the heroic martyrs, burned incense to remember and show gratitude.

After visiting the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery, the delegation offered incense, laid wreaths, and paid tribute to generations of leaders and revolutionary elders who made great contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, at the Ho Chi Minh City Cemetery (Lac Canh, Thu Duc City).
