Hue City leaders visit and present gifts to functional forces of Salavan and Sekong provinces

The delegation visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers at the following units: Ta Vang Police Station, Ko Tai Police Station, Border Guard Company 351, Border Guard Company 511 and Border Guard Company 514. This activity aims to strengthen the solidarity between Hue city and the two provinces of Salavan and Sekong of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, especially between the Hue City Border Guard Command and the border guard force under the Military Command of Salavan and Sekong provinces.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh highly appreciated the close coordination between the functional forces of Hue City and the provinces of Salavan and Sekong (Laos) in protecting security, order and safety in the border area. This cooperation not only helps to better protect the border lines but also promotes the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh hopes that the forces currently performing tasks in the border area will continue to be a bridge, strengthening the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, as well as between Hue city and Salavan and Sekong, to develop more and more sustainably.

Representatives of the forces performing tasks at the border lines of the two provinces of Salavan and Sekong sincerely thanked the Hue City Delegation for visiting and presenting gifts. At the same time, they hoped that the leaders of Hue City and related agencies, departments and branches would continue to pay attention and support the functional forces of the two provinces in performing tasks at the border areas.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh sent his deepest condolences and expressed his infinite sorrow at the passing of General Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Party Central Committee, former President, former Prime Minister of the Lao PDR. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh also encouraged the border protection forces of the two provinces of Salavan and Sekong to overcome difficulties, strive to fulfill their assigned tasks, and contribute to building and firmly protecting the Vietnam - Laos border of peace, friendship, stability and development.
