(HTV) - On the afternoon of April 23, a delegation led by comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City visited and expressed gratitude to the families of outstanding individuals in the cause of building, protecting and developing Ho Chi Minh City.
The delegation visited the family of comrade Tran Bach Dang - Former Secretary of the Saigon - Gia Dinh City Party Committee, in charge of the Central Propaganda Department, researcher, writer, journalist who passed away in 2007. With respect, the delegates burned incense in memory of the veteran revolutionary cadre.
Over 80 years old, with over 60 years of wholeheartedly following the Party and Uncle Ho, comrade Tran Bach Dang has shown himself to be a loyal revolutionary soldier. In any circumstance, he is always steadfast, optimistic, and confident in the revolutionary cause. Having been the Head of the Youth Movement Committee of the Regional Party Committee since 1947, Secretary of the Southern National Salvation Youth Union since 1950, Chairman of the Southern Liberation Youth Union since the 1960s, comrade Tran Bach Dang has always been deeply attached to the youth of the South, to the youth of Saigon - Gia Dinh - Ho Chi Minh City.
With his sharp thinking and analytical ability in many fields, he has made positive contributions to the theoretical work and practical activities of the City Party Committee and to a certain extent to the theoretical work of the Party. Preventing and combating the decline in political qualities, ethics, and lifestyle of Party members, including a resolute attitude in fighting against embezzlement and corruption, is one of the issues that Comrade Tran Bach Dang spent a lot of time thinking about and reflecting on through many pages of writing.
Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions of comrade Tran Bach Dang in the fight and contribution to the renovation process, a professional revolutionary and a talented writer.
Visiting the family of comrade Vo Tran Chi - former member of the Politburo , former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee who passed away in 2011, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that the achievements of the city today are due to the great contribution of comrade Vo Tran Chi, an excellent leader of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City.
With over 66 years of revolutionary activities and 65 years of Party membership, comrade Vo Tran Chi, who is often affectionately called by his comrades, comrades and people: Anh Hai Chi, Chu Hai Chi, Bac Hai Chi, has devoted his whole life to the Party and the people, dedicating all his strength and enthusiasm to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. During his two terms as Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (1986 - 1996), comrade Vo Tran Chi devoted his strength and enthusiasm to have the best policies and strategies for the people. Thereby, he made important contributions to the implementation of the Party's renewal policy, leaving many development marks for Ho Chi Minh City.
Appreciating the great contributions of comrade Vo Tran Chi to the cause of building and protecting the city, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc hopes that members of comrade Vo Tran Chi's family will continue to promote the tradition left by their ancestors, constantly participating in contributing to the development of the locality and the country.
