Today, September 30, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Hanoi City Nguyen Lan Huong visited and presented gifts to veterans in Cau Giay and Ba Dinh districts on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
In Cau Giay district, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Lan Huong visited and presented gifts to veteran Nguyen Huy Linh, born in 1932, in Mai Dich ward.
Veteran Nguyen Huy Linh participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign from January 1954 to May 1954, and joined the team that took over the capital in October 1954.
Next, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City visited and presented gifts to veteran Le Quang (born in 1927), a pre-uprising cadre, youth volunteer, Dich Vong ward.

In Ba Dinh district, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city visited and presented gifts to war invalid and veteran Hoang Xuan, born in 1930, in Kim Ma ward. Veteran Hoang Xuan directly performed the task of providing emergency aid to wounded soldiers during the battle to liberate the capital in 1954.
Visiting and encouraging the families of war invalids and veterans - those who directly participated in taking over the capital on October 10, 1954, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City expressed his deep gratitude for the contributions of the veterans and their families to the capital and the country.
Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong also informed the veterans about the activities that Hanoi City will carry out on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, with the aim of taking care of the people's lives, culture and spirit, and showing gratitude to those who have contributed. Thereby, expressing the deep gratitude of the City to those who have contributed, revolutionary families, especially the veteran revolutionaries who directly contributed to the liberation of the Capital.
Respectfully acknowledging the contributions of veterans and their families, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City affirmed that the contributions of revolutionary elders through the ages have made important contributions to the cause of national independence and national construction. They are shining examples for the younger generations of the Capital and the whole country to follow, identifying the responsibility to continue the heroic tradition of the previous generations.
Wishing the veterans and their families good health, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong also expressed her hope that the families will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, actively participate in local activities, and contribute to building the capital city to be more prosperous, civilized, and modern. At the same time, she requested that the Party committees and authorities of Cau Giay and Ba Dinh districts continue to better implement the policy of "repaying gratitude", paying attention, taking care of, and encouraging families of meritorious people and families with meritorious services in the area, especially on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
