Provincial leaders visit and work with the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE

Implementing the foreign affairs and investment promotion program in 2025, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Bui Huy Vinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, carried out a series of key foreign affairs activities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April 20 to 22, 2025.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Huy Vinh presented a souvenir to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the UAE Nguyen Thanh Diep.

On April 21, the provincial delegation worked with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the UAE Nguyen Thanh Diep at the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE. Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Thanh Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Tam Duong District Party Committee; Pham Quang Nguyen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Khac Hieu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and the Provincial Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center.

This is a practical activity to strengthen coordination between localities and Vietnamese diplomatic missions in promoting economic cooperation with the Middle East. Vietnam and the UAE signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in October 2024. The UAE is one of the major investors in Vietnam with a total of 42 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, ranking 52nd out of 148 countries and territories investing in Vietnam. At the same time, the UAE is also one of the major investors from the Gulf region in Vietnam with projects such as Hiep Phuoc Port, Halong Star Hotel and a number of tourism projects in Da Nang... with a total committed investment capital of an estimated 4 billion USD.

At the meeting, Mr. Bui Huy Vinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, informed about the socio-economic situation of Vinh Phuc province, emphasized the strengths of the investment environment and incentives for investors in the province. He thanked the Embassy for the reception and support, and acknowledged the contributions of Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Diep in strengthening the Vietnam - UAE relationship.

He also asked Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Diep and the Embassy to continue supporting the province in connecting and introducing potential UAE investors and businesses with investment needs in Vinh Phuc in the fields of building free trade centers, electronics industry, semiconductors, digital transformation, innovation, healthcare, education, etc.

Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Diep pledged to accompany the province and highly appreciated Vinh Phuc's dynamism and proactiveness in foreign affairs and investment promotion activities.
