Quang Ninh provincial leaders visit family of police officer who died on duty

Visiting and encouraging the family of Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Khai, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Vu Dai Thang expressed his infinite condolences for the example of "Forgetting oneself for the country - Serving the people" of Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Khai, a brave police officer, regardless of danger, ready to sacrifice for the peaceful life of the people.

At the same time, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that Quang Ninh province will always accompany, care for, fully implement policies and rewards for the family and consider this a responsibility and deep affection of the Party, State and the whole society towards the comrade and his family.

The Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee requested the Quang Ninh Provincial Police force to quickly complete policies and regimes for martyrs who died while on duty; requested the Provincial Police to continue to mobilize maximum forces to quickly arrest subjects in the drug trafficking and transportation case to bring peace to the people.

Previously, through the fight against the inter-provincial drug trafficking and transportation ring, at about 20:20 on April 17, 2025, in the area near Dragon Castle apartment building (in group 10, area 10, Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh), the working group of Quang Ninh Provincial Police led by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department discovered and arrested 2 subjects, seizing 16 Heroine drug cakes.

Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Khai heroically sacrificed his life while on duty.

During the pursuit of the remaining suspects, the suspects used weapons to attack the police force, causing Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Khai, Department of Drug Crime Investigation (Quang Ninh Provincial Police) to be shot and killed.
