Leaders of Kien Giang province celebrate Chol Chnam Thmay traditional new year in Kien Luong

The delegation included comrade Le Thanh Viet - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province. The delegation visited and extended New Year greetings to Nui Trau Pagoda, Bai Ot Pagoda and Ba Trai Pagoda (Kien Luong).

At the places visited, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province and armed forces of Kien Giang province, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Council Lam Minh Thanh warmly visited and sent greetings to the monks, venerable monks, dignitaries, monks, Buddhists and Khmer people in Kien Luong district for a new year of good health, a warm, joyful and happy Tet.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Kien Giang province Lam Minh Thanh congratulated and presented gifts to Nui Trau pagoda, Hoa Dien commune, Kien Luong district.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Kien Giang Province Lam Minh Thanh informed the monks, Buddhists and Khmer people about the province's outstanding results in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025. The province's socio -economic situation in the first 3 months of 2025 continued to grow steadily and achieved the set plan targets.

In recent times, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Kien Giang province have regularly paid attention to leading and directing the effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws in ethnic minority areas, especially focusing on effectively implementing economic, cultural and social development programs and projects; paying attention to supporting and creating sustainable livelihoods for Khmer people to improve their lives.

The material and spiritual life of the Khmer people continues to improve, the rate of well-off and rich households increases, the rate of poor households decreases sharply every year; the great national unity bloc is strengthened, contributing to building Kien Giang to become more and more developed, civilized and modern.

In the coming time, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Kien Giang Province Lam Minh Thanh hopes that the monks, abbots, and monks of pagodas will continue to propagate and mobilize Buddhists and Khmer people to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State, strive to work and produce, improve material and spiritual life, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, and work with local authorities to successfully carry out socio-economic development tasks.
