Provincial leaders congratulate Buddha's birthday at Huong Ap pagoda, Pho Yen city

On May 18, Comrade Mai Thi Thuy Nga, Vice Chairwoman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council, and the provincial delegation came to congratulate the 2024 Buddha's Birthday - Buddhist year 2568 at Huong Ap Pagoda - Van Xuan Tu, Tien Phong Ward (Pho Yen City). Also joining the delegation was Comrade Bui Van Luong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Pho Yen City Party Committee.

Comrade Mai Thi Thuy Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council and the provincial delegation presented flowers and congratulated the 2024 Buddha's Birthday - Buddhist calendar 2568 at Huong Ap Pagoda - Van Xuan Tu, Tien Phong Ward (Pho Yen City).

Sending congratulations to the abbot, dignitaries, officials and a large number of monks, nuns and Buddhists for a peaceful and meaningful Buddha's birthday, the leaders of Thai Nguyen province hope that the dignitaries, officials and Buddhist followers of the pagoda as well as dignitaries, officials and Buddhist followers in the whole province will continue to promote the fine traditions of Vietnamese Buddhism, actively respond to patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the province and the Central Government.

Huong Ap Pagoda - Van Xuan Tu has been recognized as a National Monument. The pagoda is associated with the childhood of King Ly Nam De. Here, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Thai Nguyen province and the Buddhist Sangha of Pho Yen city solemnly celebrated the Buddha's Birthday 2024 - Buddhist calendar 2568, with the participation of many monks, nuns, and Buddhists inside and outside the province. Along with the Buddha's Birthday celebrations, representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Thai Nguyen province supported 40 scholarships for disadvantaged students with excellent academic performance in Pho Yen city./.
