The visit contributes to strengthening the friendly and trustworthy relationship, in line with the policy of promoting the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Philippines. In particular, 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-Philippines strategic partnership. The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee wishes to expand cooperation with the Philippines and said that the city is ready to be a bridge, creating favorable conditions for the coast guard forces of both sides to continue to carry out cultural and sports exchange activities, share information and exchange experiences in technical expertise.
Rear Admiral Joeven L Fabul, Deputy Commander of the Philippine Coast Guard, thanked the city leaders and departments for facilitating the smooth visit. He also said that Da Nang city has impressive natural landscapes and friendly, hospitable people.

On the same morning, the BRP Grabiela Silang (OPV-8301) of the Philippine Coast Guard docked at Tien Sa Port. During the visit to Da Nang, officers and sailors paid courtesy visits to the leaders of the City People's Committee; visited and participated in sports exchanges at the Coast Guard Region 2 Command; and conducted joint search and rescue, fire prevention and fighting exercises with the Vietnam Coast Guard ship.
