Director of Hanoi Department of Information and Communications Nguyen Viet Hung visited and encouraged TTC reporter of Hanoi Radio and Television who is currently being treated at Xanh Pon General Hospital.
Expressing sincere thanks to the city leaders, the Department of Information and Communications and relevant agencies for their attention to TTC reporters, Deputy General Director of Hanoi Radio and Television Nguyen Tien Dung said that immediately after the incident, the station coordinated with relevant authorities to investigate and handle the matter according to the law.
It is known that on the morning of June 7, the Director of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications sent a document requesting the Director of the Hanoi City Police Department to direct the verification, investigation, clarification and strict handling of the subjects who assaulted reporters according to the provisions of the law.
Also on June 7, the Hanoi People's Committee issued an urgent dispatch assigning the Hanoi Police to direct the investigation of the incident and clarify information about the assault on a group of reporters from Hanoi Radio and Television.
Hanoi People's Committee has issued an urgent dispatch to Hanoi Police.
The document stated, "On June 6, 2023, Hanoi Radio and Television Station informed about the incident in which a Hanoi Radio reporter was assaulted while working, reflecting that while working on press work in the O Cho Dua area, Dong Da district, Hanoi, a group of Hanoi Radio reporters were brazenly assaulted by a number of subjects, causing serious injuries."
Regarding this matter, the Chairman of the City People's Committee has the following instructions: Assign the City Police to direct the investigation of the case, clarify the information, and report to the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee before June 12, 2023.
