During the visit, leaders of the two localities informed about the socio-economic situation in 2024 and some key tasks in 2025. The highlight of the two districts in the past year was that the economic development targets all met and exceeded the set plan.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Secretary of Ngoc Lac District Party Committee thanked the leaders of Nam Giang district for visiting and wishing them a happy new year; at the same time, he hoped that the relationship between the two localities would become increasingly closer, regularly exchanging and helping each other in all aspects of work to excellently complete tasks in the locality.
Nam Giang and Ngoc Lac districts have been twinned since 2021. Over the past time, the two localities have always established a relationship of exchange, cooperation, and mutual assistance for mutual development. Ngoc Lac district has supported Nam Giang district with 1.7 billion VND to overcome storm and flood damage; supported the construction of 10 houses for poor households with a total amount of nearly 600 million VND.
In order to mark the sister relationship between the two districts, in 2024, the two districts will invest in building the 1,500m2 Nam Giang - Ngoc Lac Cultural Park in Dung residential group (Thanh My town, Nam Giang) with a total investment of 2.4 billion VND.
During this visit, Nam Giang district supported Ngoc Lac district with 120 million VND to remove 2 temporary houses for poor households.
