On the occasion of the successful election of the 7th National Assembly of Cambodia on July 23, on July 25, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a letter of congratulations to President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Techo Hun Sen. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a phone call to congratulate Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen. National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent a letter of congratulations to National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin.
With close affection, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other leaders of our Party and State warmly congratulate Cambodia on the successful organization of the election of the 7th National Assembly, especially the high voter turnout rate, the election being held safely, freely and fairly, demonstrating the trust of Cambodian voters in the future development of the country.
The Vietnamese leaders congratulated the CPP on its great victory in the above election and said that the election results once again affirmed the role and position of the CPP under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen. They also expressed their belief that Cambodia will soon establish a new National Assembly and Government to lead the Cambodian people to continue building a peaceful, stable and prosperous Cambodia, with an increasingly high role and position in the region and the world.
Regarding the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other leaders expressed their belief that the good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability between Vietnam and Cambodia will be increasingly consolidated and strongly developed for the benefit of the people of the two countries, making positive contributions to the ASEAN Community, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
On this occasion, Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son also sent congratulatory letters to Head of the CPP Central External Relations Commission, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Prak Sokhonn.
