Lang Son celebrates the 80th anniversary of Binh Gia District Liberation Day

On April 18, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Gia District, Lang Son Province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Gia District (April 19, 1945 - April 19, 2025).

Over the past 80 years, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Binh Gia district have achieved many achievements in socio -economic development, gradually improving people's lives.

From the first party cell with 3 party members, up to now, the district Party Committee has 53 grassroots party organizations, including 21 grassroots party committees and 32 grassroots party cells, with 246 party cells directly under the grassroots party committee and 5,253 party members.

Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lang Son province spoke at the ceremony.

In the period of 2020-2025, the total investment capital in the district reached 1,180 billion VND, implementing 251 investment projects (focusing on priority areas of transport infrastructure, irrigation, schools, medical stations, electricity, domestic water, and urban beautification).

Up to now, the rate of hardened roads to commune centers has reached 100%; 19/19 communes and towns have spacious offices; over 80% of classrooms are solid; the rate of rural population using hygienic water has reached 99%; the rate of town population using clean water has reached over 90%; 100% of villages and blocks of the district have cultural houses with basic equipment systems guaranteed.

Binh Gia's economic sector has also recorded important results recently, with industrial and handicraft production value increasing steadily over the years (from 73 billion VND in 2020 to over 93 billion VND in 2024).

At the same time, many products of cooperatives and cooperative groups in the district have also been recognized as OCOP products, with 18 products classified and recognized in the period of 2020-2025, contributing significantly to reducing the annual poverty rate by an average of over 5%/year.

Currently, Binh Gia district has 10/18 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 2 communes have met advanced new rural standards; budget revenue has increased by an average of nearly 20% per year; tourism revenue in the 2020-2025 period reached over 82 billion VND; forest coverage rate reached 76.2%... Social security work and support policies for people with meritorious services have been focused on, national defense and security have been maintained.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lang Son province congratulated, commended and acknowledged the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Binh Gia district have strived and achieved over the past 80 years.

At the same time, he emphasized that the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Gia need to continue to promote revolutionary traditions, promote achievements, strive, unite, and join hands to successfully fulfill tasks in the coming time.
