Recognizing the great potential of border tourism , Lang Son province has focused on improving the infrastructure system serving tourism development, such as transportation routes, the national power grid, and information technology infrastructure; building and establishing service centers and tourist areas; connecting tourist destinations, historical and cultural relics, and scenic spots in the border area such as the Hoang Van Thu Memorial Area, the Dong Dang Mother Goddess Temple, the Thuy Mon Dinh stele, and the Dong Dang Fortress relic...

Additionally, tourists can "check in" along the border patrol route from Chi Ma border gate (Loc Binh) to Bac Xa (Dinh Lap), where there are many border markers and majestic landscapes; visit the route from Lang Son city to Dong Dang, Huu Nghi, and Tan Thanh; the route from Lang Son city to Bang Tuong (China) in a single day with a travel permit; shop at the Tan Thanh border market (Van Lang); the Huu Nghi international border gate tourist destination; Dong Dang international railway station (Cao Loc)...

From the beginning of the year until now, Lang Son has welcomed more than 761,000 tourists (an increase of 13.3% compared to the same period in 2023), including more than 22,000 international visitors; tourism revenue is estimated at over 540 billion VND. According to Mr. Luu Ba Mac, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province, investment in infrastructure, development and exploitation of tourism products, and tourist routes and destinations in the border area have created unique and competitive service products, making an important contribution to the economic , cultural, social, foreign relations, international cooperation and ensuring national security and defense of the locality.

Mr. Luu Ba Mac stated: “The locality will strengthen investment promotion and tourism product promotion, especially cooperating with Guangxi Province (China) to pilot the Tan Thanh (Vietnam) - Po Chai (China) Border Tourism Cooperation Zone model with types of tourism including experiential tours, research and study, traditional education, shopping, entertainment, etc. Lang Son will also strengthen digital transformation in border tourism activities; build a mechanism for regular cooperation and exchange with Guangxi Province (China) in organizing activities, managing tourists, and developing tourism products.”
