In 1402, after occupying Chiem Dong and Co Luy (from the southern bank of Thu Bon River to the North of Quang Ngai), the Ho Dynasty divided that land into 4 districts: Thang, Hoa, Tu, Nghia and then ordered soldiers to establish plantations to create public land. Admiral Le Quy Cong may have established My Xuyen village at that time.
Therefore, according to many researchers, My Xuyen Tay village was formed more than 555 years ago, associated with the life and career of the predecessor Le Quy Cong.

To have a place to worship and show gratitude to their ancestors, in ancient times, the people of My Xuyen Tay village built a communal house facing North, the foundation and a Cham brick well still remain.
In the early 20th century, when the Dao River was silted up, the village rebuilt the communal house facing south. In 1947, the communal house was dismantled to serve the resistance war.

In 2002, My Xuyen Tay ancestral temple was rebuilt on the old foundation as it is today. This place is preserving an ancient stele from the time of King Tu Duc.
In 2021, My Xuyen Tay Ancestral Temple was recognized and ranked as a provincial historical relic by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province. Thereby, affirming its historical and cultural value; at the same time, establishing a scientific and legal basis to protect and promote the long-term value of the relic, contributing to educating traditions and fostering love for the homeland for the younger generation.
