Tourists flock to cool off at Ma Hao waterfall during the holiday.
At resorts such as Ma Hao waterfall, Nang Cat village (in Tri Nang commune), more than 5,500 tourists flocked to "escape the heat". Although the heat lasted throughout the holiday in many areas in the province, the temperature in Nang Cat village, Ma Hao waterfall only fluctuated from 22°C to 28°C, which made this place an ideal resort attracting tourists from inside and outside the district. After experiencing bathing in the waterfall, visitors can stay at homestays right in the area of village 327, the road to the foot of the waterfall or in Nang Cat village not far away.
Currently, Nang Cat is one of the ancient Thai villages of Lang Chanh district that still retains the original cultural features of the Thai people with a system of stilt houses accounting for more than 95%. The village has been built into a community tourism village with a capacity of thousands of tourists coming to visit and relax.
Not only Ma Hao waterfall, Nang Cat village, some new tourist and resort spots have been formed in the district such as Suoi Dang homestay, Pha Day lake (Ngay village), Lang Lung valley (Na Dang village, Lam Phu commune), the number of tourists also increased dramatically during the holiday.
Mr. Pham Van La, owner of Suoi Dang homestay, said that during the 5-day holiday, the number of tourists coming to Suoi Dang increased dramatically, the homestay rooms were full, the number of tourists was twice as high as the 2023 holiday. The homestay proactively contacted neighboring homestay service businesses to arrange accommodation for guests, ensuring safety and attentive service when guests came to relax.
Staying at Suoi Dang Homestay, visitors can immerse themselves in the colorful cultural space of the indigenous people.
Being a locality with a rich system of primeval forests, fresh and cool climate with many beautiful landscapes associated with the history of the nation's resistance against foreign invaders, along with the unique cultural beauty of the Thai and Muong ethnic groups still preserved. This is the condition for Lang Chanh to develop tourism.
