Spreading reading culture to Bu Dop border district

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 has been spread to the border district of Bu Dop by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Phuoc province.

April 21, at Thanh Hoa High School (Bu Dop District), The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Phuoc province has chaired and coordinated with relevant agencies to organize a program to launch activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 in the area.

At the program, Mr. Vu Xuan Truong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, launched activities in response to the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 in the province. At the same time, he called on all levels, sectors, agencies, units, organizations and individuals to join hands to build and develop the reading movement, focusing on activities associated with the provincial library system, school libraries, public reading rooms, family bookcases, agencies and units.

Notably, there are two important thematic activities serving high school students: the Reading Culture Ambassador contest and the Storytelling Contest based on books in Binh Phuoc province in 2025.

"I hope all students will read books about technology, digital transformation, innovation, startups, and personal development; and at the same time, donate good and useful books to the school library to have more information resources to better serve students' reading needs," said Le Thi Thu Thao (student of class 11A8, Thanh Hoa High School, Bu Dop District).

At the program, the organizers connected and donated books to 10 high schools in Bu Dop district; organized spaces to display and introduce books and mobile library services at Thanh Hoa High School.

In particular, to inspire reading and guide reading skills and information gathering for high school students in border areas, writer Vo Thu Huong, Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, gave a talk on the topic "Reading methods and knowledge gathering skills for high school students" with more than 1,000 students attending the program directly.
