After three years of implementing the "March Border" program, this program has been spreading strongly among Thanh Hoa's youth.
Many young people set foot on the border and milestone of the Fatherland on the Vietnam - Laos border for the first time and are very proud and moved to love their homeland and Fatherland more.
Many meaningful activities
The program "March Border Month" (from March 1 to 31 every year) is also an occasion for Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union to carry out activities of "Youth Month". The Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union has integrated exciting youth activities, towards the mountainous border areas of the province.

In the "March Border Month" program in 2022, the Provincial Youth Union, the Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province and the sponsoring unit built a "Beautiful School for Children" in Tan Son village, Son Dien commune, Quan Son mountainous and border district worth 600 million VND; supported the construction of three happy houses for children in difficult circumstances in the border districts of Quan Son, Lang Chanh, Thuong Xuan, each house was supported with 80 million VND.
In addition, the program also supported two poverty reduction models for Muong Lat and Quan Hoa districts (VND300 million/model); presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Muong Min Border Guard Station; presented gifts to village elders, village chiefs, and border guards in difficult circumstances; presented 200 national flags to families protecting the border. The total value of the entire program was nearly VND1.6 billion.
By 2023, the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province will bring the "March Border Month" program to the mountainous and border district of Muong Lat - the most difficult place in Thanh Hoa province.
At this program, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union presented a computer set to the Ten Tan Border Guard Station; presented gifts to village elders and village chiefs participating in protecting border markers and borders; presented 100 national flags and 20 gifts to families of people protecting the border; and presented 20 gifts to ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances.
At the same time, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union also launched and presented equipment to the Youth Volunteer Team to protect the border and landmarks. The total value of the entire program is 550 million VND.
Promoting the achievements of the "March Border Month" program, in 2024, the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province have carried out many exciting activities in Lang Chanh district.

Here, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union presented a computer set to Yen Khuong Border Guard Station; presented 30 gifts to poor students who overcame difficulties to study well; presented bicycles and scholarships to ethnic minority students with difficult circumstances in Yen Khuong border commune; presented gifts to village elders and village chiefs and presented national flags to people protecting the border and landmarks.
Also at this program, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union organized the inauguration and handover of a happy house to the family of Lo Thi Trang, a student of Yen Thang Primary School; and started construction of two happy houses for students of Tan Phuc commune, Lang Chanh district, worth 80 million VND/house.
To bring union members and youth towards the Fatherland's borders
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, with the aim of helping union members and young people in the province to look towards the country's border, understand more about landmarks and borders; share and support the mountainous border posts and the people here. The Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union always effectively organize the program "March Border Month".

The activities in the three years of implementing the program "March Border Month" of Thanh Hoa youth are associated with the journey "Youth to the border markers", with the flag-raising ceremony "I love my Fatherland" right at the border markers, so that each member and youth participating in the program can feel the sacredness and pride of the Fatherland's border region.
This is a program of practical significance to raise awareness, foster ideals of territorial sovereignty and national borders for union members and young people, promote the spirit of volunteerism of union members and young people in participating in socio-economic development, and care for cadres, soldiers, people and children in border areas.
To further spread the "March Border Month" program, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command continue to effectively implement this program.

Building and developing the border guard force in conjunction with union members and youth to participate in protecting the border and landmarks on the Vietnam - Laos border; building a border of peace, friendship and cooperation.
Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Le Van Chau - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union - said that in the coming time, to spread the "March Border Month" program, the Provincial Youth Union will mobilize resources and funds to build new, repair, renovate boarding houses, schools, playgrounds for students, toilets for schools, build solid bridges, donate happy houses, build rural concrete roads, install "Lighting up the countryside roads" projects in disadvantaged communes in border areas.
