The seemingly dry amount of knowledge about: Vietnam Sea Law; Vietnam Coast Guard Law; knowledge about sea and island geography, history, culture and issues related to sea and island sovereignty; important milestones in the historical process of preserving and protecting the territorial integrity of the Fatherland... were presented by the Organizing Committee in a lively, intuitive, highly educational way and aroused the curiosity and exploration of the students. There were thrilling moments when the contestants competed with each other in each question to avoid being eliminated and moments of bursting into joy of victory.
On the stage, the Chief of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, along with delegates, teachers, students and parents, watched and cheered for the contestants in each round. The enthusiastic cheers and endless applause were a great source of encouragement, giving the contestants the strength to confidently perform to the best of their abilities.

After the competition in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, outstanding candidates will be selected to participate in the regional competition in Military Region 7, held in March 2026.

Sharing with teachers and students participating in the contest, Colonel Le Van Tu - Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command said that our country's sea and islands have a particularly important position and role in the strategy of socio-economic development, national defense and security, as a frontline defense line to protect, control and master the eastern flank of the country; a living space, a priceless asset and an inseparable sacred flesh and blood part of the Fatherland. Not only having economic and political significance, the sea and islands also have an extremely great significance in the history of building and defending the country of our people. History has recorded that in 14 wars of aggression by enemies against our country, 10 of them started from the sea. Colonel Le Van Tu commented: “The contest “I love my homeland’s sea and islands” is not only an intellectual playground, but also an opportunity for students to learn deeply about the history, geography, and sovereignty of Vietnam’s seas and islands. Through the contest, the young generation is equipped with important knowledge about the strategic position of the sea and islands, policies for developing the marine economy, as well as the responsibility of each citizen in protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
