Mr. Hoang Van Ngon, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers’ Association, said: In order for the movement “Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably” to bring about positive results, the associations at all levels regularly propagate and encourage farmers’ association members to innovate their thinking, change their mindset and ways of doing things to produce more effectively. At the same time, the association promotes support for farmers in terms of capital, vocational training, and technology transfer, etc. to help them develop suitable economic models.

The whole province currently has nearly 112,400 HVND, accounting for more than 73% of agricultural production households. In recent years, HVND in the area have responded to the movement with practical actions such as: competing to develop production, promoting the application of technical advances in production, helping each other in economic activities... Therefore, the number of households producing and trading effectively is increasing. By the end of 2024, the whole province will have 13,123 HVND households achieving the title of Producing and Trading Effectively at all levels, an increase of more than 2,750 households compared to 2023.

Mr. Hoang Van Hau, HVND Chi HND Na Mo hamlet, Tan My commune, Van Lang district said: In 2007, I started planting 200 persimmon trees, but due to lack of knowledge and experience, many of the trees had yellow leaves, rotten roots and died. After that, the commune's Farmers' Association created conditions for me to participate in training courses on fruit tree growing techniques, from which I actively applied them in practice, so the garden grew well, with higher productivity and fruit quality. Currently, my family has more than 400 persimmon trees. In the past 3 years, the persimmon garden has brought in an average income of over 150 million VND/crop after deducting expenses.

To achieve that result, the association focuses on training and transferring science and technology to farmers. From 2022 to present, farmers' associations at all levels have coordinated to organize nearly 950 training sessions with over 41,000 farmers participating in the following contents: fruit tree growing techniques according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards; livestock and poultry farming techniques... At the same time, the association creates conditions to help members access preferential loans. Currently, the association has 18,332 households borrowing capital from the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch with a total amount of over 1,325 billion VND; 3,009 households borrowing capital from the Provincial Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development with a total amount of over 421 billion VND and more than 1,690 households borrowing over 57.8 billion VND from the farmer support fund at all levels for economic development.

In addition, from 2022 to present, the Provincial Farmers' Association has also organized two programs to select "Outstanding Farmers" and "Typical Agricultural Products" of the province. This is one of the solutions to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of the farmers' movement to compete in good production and business.

A notable feature is that since 2024, the Provincial Farmers' Association has organized training to improve the qualifications and skills of excellent farmers and good farmers at the district level and above. By the end of 2024, the whole province had 1,346 excellent farmers' association households at the district level and above who had been trained to improve their qualifications and skills in production.

Ms. Lo Thuy Linh, Vice President of the Chi Lang District Farmers' Association, said: In 2024, the association organized training to improve the qualifications of 180 households producing and trading agricultural products at the district and provincial levels. After training, they became active propagandists in propagating and supporting other households producing and trading agricultural products to respond and develop the movement more and more widely. Thanks to that, the number of households producing and trading agricultural products in the district is increasing. By the end of 2024, the whole district had 3,100 households recognized as good producers and traders, reaching 147.6% of the target assigned by the provincial Farmers' Association (an increase of 2,000 households compared to 2023 and being the leading unit in the province in terms of the number of households producing and trading agricultural products).

In addition, the association also organizes tours for HVND members to learn about economic development experiences in and outside the province; selects typical individuals in economic development to share experiences with other HVND members...

Promoting the achieved results, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the association at all levels has mobilized 19,343 HVND households to register to achieve the title of Excellent Production and Business Household, reaching 101.8% of the set target. In the coming time, the association at all levels will continue to propagate and mobilize HVND households to actively participate in the movement; support the construction of typical production models that bring high economic efficiency; send HVND farmers to study typical economic models to apply in practice...
