Book Launch "From Ben Hai River to Independence Palace"

Also within the framework of the event, many outstanding publications on the topic of the resistance war against the US and the Great Victory of Spring 1975 were introduced to readers, including more than 20 books selected and reprinted from valuable documents by the National Political Publishing House Truth. This is an opportunity for students and young people to access vivid sources of information, to understand more deeply the value of peace , independence and the responsibility of building the country today.

That same evening, Alpha Books organized the launch of the memoir “From Ben Hai River to Independence Palace” by Major General Hoang Dan at the 19-12 Book Street. The talk show “21 historical questions with Giao Tien” with speaker Hoang Nam Tien, son of Major General Hoang Dan, provided a close and profound perspective on a general who both commanded battles and took the time to record every page of his diary amidst the bombs and bullets.

The memoir not only recreates fierce campaigns such as Khe Sanh, Route 9 Southern Laos, and Thuong Duc, but also demonstrates the sharp military spirit, compassion, and deep family affection of Major General Hoang Dan. Those pages are a living legacy, inspiring leadership and dedication for today's generation.
