On the evening of April 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam held the traditional Hari Raya Festival at the International Convention Center.

The ceremony was solemnly held with the attendance of Second Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato Erywan and more than 1,000 local and international guests.

This is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei, aiming to create opportunities for diplomatic missions in Brunei to introduce their country's culture, especially traditional cuisine, to local and international friends.

This year, nearly 20 foreign representative agencies participated with diverse and distinctive booths.

The booth of the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam attracted a lot of attention from international friends and local people.

Traditional dishes such as pho and fried spring rolls prepared by Yi's Nation Vietnamese restaurant are loved and highly appreciated by many visitors.

From a Western-style restaurant, Yi's Nation has made an impressive transformation by bringing traditional Vietnamese cuisine - especially the rich flavors of Hai Phong city - to the menu serving diners in Brunei.

With familiar dishes such as pho, banh mi, goi cuon, nem ran and typical salads, Yi's Nation not only brings a sophisticated culinary experience, but also introduces Vietnamese culture and spirit through each dish.

Each taste tells a story - about tradition, family memories and love for the homeland. Vietnamese cuisine at Yi's Nation promises to become a favorite destination for the Vietnamese community in Brunei as well as diners who love Asian culture.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee also screened a video congratulating the Hari Raya holiday made by representative agencies in Brunei and Brunei Embassies around the world, contributing to creating an atmosphere of solidarity, friendship and rich cultural identity.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the biggest festival of the year for Muslims. The festival's date is determined by the shape of the moon and takes place right after Ramadan (the Muslim fasting month).

During Hari Raya Aidilfitri, people usually return to their hometowns to reunite with their families. After the holiday, people return to the city and Hari Raya is celebrated in offices and homes, which Muslims call "Open house."

This is an occasion for Muslims to invite partners and close friends to their home to enjoy traditional dishes and sing together…

Brunei Darussalam, officially the State of Brunei Darussalam, is located on the north coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia and is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
