Cuc Phuong National Park honored for the 6th consecutive time

On September 4, information from Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh) said that at the Award Ceremony held by World Travel Awards on the evening of September 3 in Manila, Republic of the Philippines, Cuc Phuong National Park of Vietnam surpassed many other strong competitors in the world such as: Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park (Japan), Chitwan National Park (Nepal), Minnieriya National Park (Sri Lanka), Kinabalu and Taman Negara National Park (Malaysia) and Cat Tien National Park of Vietnam to be honored in the category of Asia's Leading National Park 2024.

This is also the 6th consecutive time since 2019 that Cuc Phuong National Park has received this noble title.

This award continues to affirm the attractiveness of ecotourism - a type of tourism that has been exploited in national parks and conservation areas in Vietnam. It is a great motivation for Vietnam's forestry management agencies to continue to develop strongly, to promote and develop the multi-purpose nature of forests. At the same time, this is expected to be a "golden" opportunity to promote the image of beautiful nature and Vietnamese tourism to the world.

The World Travel Awards is the world's leading award in the tourism industry, held annually since 1993. To date, the Awards have become the world's most prestigious and prestigious brand in honoring outstanding achievements in the tourism industry in all fields. This award is also known as the "Oscar of world tourism".

Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh, Director of Cuc Phuong National Park, said that the award is not only a source of encouragement for Cuc Phuong but also the sentiments of the domestic and international community for the persistent efforts throughout the journey of more than 60 years of many generations of Cuc Phuong National Park staff through the periods.

Cuc Phuong National Park was established in 1962, with the main tasks of conserving natural resources and cultural, historical and landscape values; maintaining the protective effect of forests; organizing scientific research activities, ecological environmental services and environmental education.

Cuc Phuong covers an area of ​​22,408 hectares, located in 14 communes, 4 districts of 3 provinces: Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. With the characteristics of tropical rainforest, Cuc Phuong includes a system of extremely valuable biodiversity values, is one of the places with high biodiversity in Vietnam with many rare species of animals and plants listed in the Red Book of Vietnam.

Currently, Cuc Phuong has gradually built and successfully operated a model of management, protection, research and exploitation of ecotourism for the purpose of education and raising awareness in national parks and nature reserves.

From Cuc Phuong National Park, a system has been formed nationwide, with complete legal framework, good management and forest protection; many achievements in research have been made and contributed to creating the ecotourism map of Vietnam.
