TPO - Scheduled to take place from December 11 to December 14 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), the 2nd Vietnam Chef Competition co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association and the Vietnam Bakery Association promises to be an exciting competition attracting professional bakers at home and abroad. This is the first international standard baking competition held in Vietnam.
According to the Organizing Committee, compared to the previous competition, the second Vietnam Chef Competition has been expanded to an international level, having important significance not only for Vietnamese chefs but also for the food technology industry and Vietnamese culinary culture.
The competition will include Vietnamese and international judges with experience in judging national and international competitions. The competition has been certified by World Chefs (World Association of Chefs) as an artistic Baking & Cooking competition that showcases the skills and expertise of chefs and apprentices in the culinary industry.

This year’s competition will feature 21 culinary, pastry and presentation competitions designed for talented chefs and bakers of all levels to international standards. Because of its scale and importance, the competition is open to professional pastry chefs, cooks and artisans who want to be recognized with a title certified by World Chefs.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, contestants can immerse themselves in the largest playground in Vietnam and have the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and skills, and demonstrate their creativity in making unique cakes not only in flavor but also in diverse presentation and design.
Especially for young chefs, this is also an opportunity to learn and affirm their talents, thereby contributing to promoting the development of the bakery industry in Vietnam.

"This Vietnam Chef Competition is not just a baking competition, but also an event to promote and introduce the cultural and economic values of the baking industry or the typical ingredients of Vietnam. This will contribute to the development of the Vietnamese baking industry in particular and the Vietnamese culinary industry in general," said Ms. Khanh.
At the competition, the Organizing Committee also built an exhibition space for equipment, products, materials, accessories, and services for the restaurant and hotel catering industry with the participation of exhibitors from all over the world.
In addition, the competition is for the bakery industry, building a performance and competition space as well as displaying delicious cakes to serve diners. In addition, the competition will have seminars, discussions, talk shows with the theme of cakes participated by culinary experts and cake artisans.
According to the organizers' estimate, the second Vietnam Chef Competition will attract about 400 to 500 contestants. The organizers also displayed and introduced some delicious and beautiful cakes that will be entered by contestants in this competition.
