On April 28, the Kien Giang Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to honor students, teachers and managers with achievements in the national high school excellent student selection exam and the national science and technology competition for high school students in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years.
In the 2022-2023 school year, Kien Giang has the most students winning high prizes in national excellent student competitions, with the highest quality ever, and is the first year that students have been selected to participate in international science and technology competitions.

Accordingly, in the 2022-2023 school year, Kien Giang won 17 prizes, including 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes. In the 2021-2022 school year, Kien Giang won 17 prizes.
Regarding the national science and technology competition, Kien Giang has 4 award-winning projects. Notably, in the 2022-2023 school year, the project "Research on the preparation of locally injected hydrogel from alginate and rose myrtle leaf extract for wound healing" in the biochemistry field of Nguyen Thanh Khoa (student of Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted) was honored to be selected to compete in the International Science and Technology Fair - ISEF 2023, held in the US next May.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Quang Bao, Director of the Kien Giang Department of Education and Training, affirmed that the achievement of 38 students winning the award is the pride of the province. At the same time, Mr. Bao praised the sense of responsibility of the team of teachers and managers in teaching, training, guiding and orienting students to participate in good learning.
From the results of excellent students and national science and technology in the past 2 years, it can be affirmed that with the close, direct, drastic and comprehensive guidance of the Department of Education and Training, the work of nurturing excellent national students of the province has been on the right track, stable and has had solid development.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Kien Giang province awarded certificates of merit to 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in the national high school student competition for the 2021-2022 school year. The Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang awarded certificates of merit to 21 students, 67 managers and teachers with outstanding achievements in the national high school student competition for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years; awarded certificates of merit to 2 groups and 8 individuals with outstanding achievements in the national science and technology competition for high school students for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years.
