Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang attended the conference and presented the Prime Minister's Decision on approving the Thai Binh Provincial Planning to the Party Committee, government and people of the province.
According to the announced Plan, the Thai Binh Provincial Plan identifies a new development mindset and long-term vision; sets out the goal of rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development; strives to make Thai Binh province one of the industrial development centers of the Red River Delta by 2030; and by 2050, it will be a developed province of this delta, with a prosperous economy , progressive society, and a guaranteed ecological environment.
The provincial planning identifies 4 growth pillars, 3 breakthroughs, 4 socio-economic spaces, 3 economic corridors, development orientations for industries and fields, and 6 key tasks, aiming to build Thai Binh province into a leading agricultural production center, industrial and energy center of the Red River Delta region...
In particular, the Provincial Planning identifies opening up new development space for the province through "sea reclamation" activities, developing a marine-oriented economy, creating breakthrough developments in the fields of seaports, energy, entertainment services, resorts, and marine ecology; expanding the sea reclamation space to create land funds for functional activities, forming a synchronous industrial - urban - service space, and attractive coastal ecological landscapes.
The provincial planning also determines to build a synchronous and modern urban system in the province with Thai Binh City as the core urban area, one of the major urban areas of the region, becoming a green, modern urban area with its own identity, a political, administrative, economic, cultural, service and commercial center; a landscape city on both sides of Tra Ly river.
The provincial planning also determines that the province will develop a synchronous, modern, and conveniently connected transportation network; develop pharmaceutical and biological industries, specialized airports, railways, etc.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang requested Thai Binh province to strictly follow the orientation and solutions for implementing the Provincial Planning, be flexible in organizing implementation, synchronize the Provincial Planning with the lower-level planning system and the proposed plans, and "understand" the planning to effectively implement it.
At the conference, Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee Ngo Dong Hai acknowledged that the Provincial Planning has concretized the province's development aspirations; requested all levels, sectors, agencies and units in the province to urgently disseminate the core contents of the Provincial Planning to all levels, sectors, business community and people; thereby creating consensus in awareness and high determination to well implement the Planning; allocate resources for implementation appropriately, economically and effectively, and invest with focus and priority in key sectors and fields; pay attention to solving well investment procedures and administrative procedures to provide maximum support for investors to organize and implement projects in the area.
He called on domestic and foreign enterprises, economic organizations, and investors to pay attention to and study the Provincial Planning, and on that basis, pay attention to investing in Thai Binh in the coming time.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than pledged that the provincial government will be more innovative and decisive in its direction and administration; taking people and businesses as the center of service.
At the conference, the leaders of Thai Binh province awarded investment approval decisions, investment registration certificates, and investment cooperation memorandums to 9 investors in the province, with a total investment capital of 10,000 billion VND.
Thai Binh is a province located in the Northern coastal region, covering an area of over 1,570 km2, bordered by rivers on three sides and the East Sea on one side; a coastline of 54 km; with 1 city, 7 districts, and a population of over 1.8 million people. The coastal area of the province currently has Thai Binh Economic Zone, established in 2017, covering an area of over 30,000 hectares, located in the two coastal districts of Thai Thuy and Tien Hai. In this Economic Zone, there are currently Tien Hai, Lien Ha Thai, and Hai Long Industrial Parks, with many economic projects that have been and are being implemented.
