Guide to choosing quality fire extinguishers and respirators.
Currently, many types of fire-fighting equipment are sold on the market, especially on social media platforms, primarily fire extinguishers and gas masks, with varying prices and quality that not everyone can easily assess. Furthermore, localities are implementing a nationwide fire prevention and fighting campaign, aiming for each household to have at least one fire extinguisher. As a result, many households have purchased and equipped themselves with fire extinguishers through intermediaries. However, a significant number of fire extinguishers on the market do not meet the required fire-fighting quality standards. In response to this situation, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, in coordination with market management forces, has intensified inspections of businesses selling fire prevention and fighting equipment.

Currently, there are 18 licensed establishments providing fire prevention and firefighting services in Lao Cai province. All licensed establishments have commitments and warranties regarding the quality of products supplied to the provincial market.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Viet Thanh, Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police), said that in implementing the movement of all citizens participating in fire prevention and fighting, households have equipped themselves with fire extinguishers, thereby effectively fighting fires at the grassroots level. To ensure that households can purchase quality and effective fire extinguishers, gas masks, and other fire prevention and fighting equipment, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department advises people to buy from licensed stores and dealers.
