On October 3, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested Long Hoi Power Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company to strictly implement the direction of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to completely resolve the existing problems related to Da Dang - Dachomo Hydropower Plant (Lat Commune, Lac Duong District, Lam Dong).
Lam Dong province requested this company to coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committee of Lac Duong district and related units to completely resolve existing problems that negatively impact people during the construction and operation of the Da Dang - Dachomo Hydropower Plant.
Due to the road closure by the Da Dang - Dachomo Hydropower Plant, last April, people crawled through gaps in the ditch to get home (Photo cut from video clip).
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments and Lac Duong District People's Committee to implement the direction of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, thoroughly resolve people's petitions related to Da Dang - Dachomo Hydropower Plant, and report to the Provincial People's Committee before October 15.
At the same time, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to monitor the implementation process of resolving the existing problems of Long Hoi Electricity Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company. Accordingly, if by the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, this company has not completely resolved the existing problems, it will propose the Provincial People's Committee to handle it according to regulations.
In case the company deliberately delays implementation, the Provincial People's Committee's advisory board shall request the competent authority to temporarily suspend the purchase and sale of electricity until the company completes the resolution of the existing problems.
Previously, in early February, the Da Dang - Dachomo Hydropower Plant built barbed wire fences; installed iron gates, blocking the passage through the water control valve area, affecting dozens of households with houses and production land inside.
Before installing the roadblock, the hydropower plant investor coordinated with the People's Committee of Lac Duong district to build Min slope with a total length of about 1.5km, a 5m wide roadbed, a 3.5m road surface and hill gravel graded according to rural traffic standards for people to travel.

However, local residents said that the new road is steep and slippery during the rainy season, making it unsafe for travel. Local residents asked the hydropower plant investor to reopen the old road, but were not accepted.
It is known that the Min slope is being lowered and repaired by the authorities of Lac Duong district and the investor of the hydroelectric plant.
Last July, Lam Dong Provincial Inspectorate requested the People's Committee of Lac Duong district to transfer information and documents related to Da Dang - Dachomo Hydropower Plant to resolve citizens' petitions.
On the morning of October 3, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chien, a resident of Lat commune, Lac Duong district, Lam Dong, said that the hydroelectric plant is still closed and the Min slope is still slippery, people cannot travel. Currently, people have to renovate the path on the hillside for temporary traffic.
