On the morning of August 23, Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Central Party Secretariat on personnel work in Lam Dong province.
Accordingly, the Central Party Secretariat has issued a Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term; to cease holding the position of Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
Attending the conference, Mr. Phan Thang An - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - emphasized that Mr. Tran Hong Thai always demonstrated political courage, quickness in leadership and management, and high responsibility for work. Mr. Thai has the capacity to effectively organize and implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and State.
Mr. Tran Hong Thai's assignment and appointment to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is the recognition and appreciation of the Secretariat for him personally in performing his duties in the past time.

Mr. Tran Hong Thai (born in 1974), hometown in Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province. Mr. Tran Hong Thai graduated from university in Russia, defended his PhD thesis in Earth Sciences and Mathematics at Heidelberg University (Germany).
