On the afternoon of February 5, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai said that he had directed units to clarify the issue of teachers not receiving bonuses according to Decree 73 (Decree 73/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2024).
On the same morning, Tuoi Tre Online reported that teachers in Lam Dong province had not yet received their bonuses according to Government Decree 73 after Tet.
The Decree stipulates annual bonuses for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces. Accordingly, the calculation of annual bonuses for cadres and teachers is based on the level of task completion.
Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that on October 14, 2024 and January 15, 2025, the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province proposed to allocate funds to reward teachers. However, the Department of Finance of Lam Dong province has not coordinated. This has resulted in teachers in Lam Dong province not receiving rewards according to Decree 73.
Mr. Pham S said that the slow coordination between departments led to disadvantages for teachers. Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Education and Training to quickly process bonuses for teachers before February 7.
