As of January 2025, there are 13 banks listing interest rates from 6%/year for 36-month terms. Only 4 banks listed these interest rates for 12-month terms.
The highest interest rate on the market today, according to public listing, is 6.8%/year, applied by Eximbank for online deposits with terms of 24-36 months.
Eximbank also leads the market in interest rates for 15 and 18 month terms, up to 6.5% and 6.6% per year, respectively.
The above interest rates are far higher than the 6.3%/year interest rate announced by the two banks behind, BVBank and MSB.
Of which, BVBank listed interest rates of 6.3%/year for online deposits with terms of 18-36 months; 6%/year for terms of 12 months and 6.2%/year for terms of 15 months.
At MSB, the interest rate of 6.3%/year is applied to online deposits for terms of 12 months, 15 months, and 24 months.
The bank interest rate of 6.2%/year is currently applied at Indovina Bank for online deposits with a term of 24-36 months; Bac A Bank for a term of 18-36 months; and BVBank for a term of 15 months.
The savings interest rate of 6.15% is only listed by GPBank with deposit terms from 15-36 months.
With a deposit interest rate of 6.1%/year, customers have many options such as: Dong A Bank and MBV (18-36 month term), Saigonbank and SHB (36 month term), or HDBank (18 month term).
Meanwhile, the 6%/year deposit interest rate is becoming more and more popular as many banks are listing it, including: HDBank (15-month term), Viet A Bank (36-month term), BaoVietBank (15-36-month term), Saigonbank (15-24 months), CBBank (12-36 months), Dong A Bank (15 months), and BVBank (6 months).

According to statistics from the beginning of January 2025 to present, 7 banks have increased deposit interest rates including: Agribank, Bac A Bank, NCB, MBV, Eximbank, KienlongBank, VietBank.
However, NCB and Agribank also simultaneously reduced interest rates for 12-36 month terms. ABBank, SeABank, Nam A Bank, and Techcombank also reduced interest rates.
