Lai Chau organizes mountain climbing competition "Conquering Do Quyen peak"

The tournament attracted more than 300 athletes from many localities across the country. The athletes started from Si Thau Chai village, the distance was 8.3km. The athletes competed in 3 age groups: Group 1 from 16-35 years old, Group 2 from 36-45 years old and Group 3 from 46-60 years old for both men and women.

The peak that the athletes must conquer is Do Quyen peak at 2,619m high with steep slopes and extremely difficult slippery roads. During the competition, the athletes will be able to pass through and see the largest ancient rhododendron forest in Vietnam in full bloom.
