La Liga selects 8 young Vietnamese players to go to Spain for training

Eight young players beat out more than 200 other candidates to be selected by La Liga coaches. The program took place on April 13 and 14 at Gia Dinh Stadium (HCMC).

The children competed in real-life 5v5 football matches. Players were guided through game simulation drills from EA Sports, combined with expert guidance and tips from UEFA Pro certified La Liga coaches.

The final test was a friendly match with Saigon Football Academy (men) and Kun Lady Football Club (women). After 2 days of testing, 8 excellent names were announced by the organizing committee.

The four male players are Hoang Tuan Kiet, Nguyen Cong Tien, Duong Trong Duy and Nguyen Chi Hung; the four female players are Nguyen Hong Anh, Pham Ngoc Minh Chau, Le Thi Hong Thai and Nguyen Khanh Bang.

Final selection is based not only on playing skills, but also on the ability to demonstrate and live up to values ​​such as commitment, team spirit and will to strive.

"We have found players who stand out for their discipline and enthusiasm. This will be a key factor for them to meet the strict requirements of activities in Spain," said Mr. Rubén Cano, Football Project expert of the "Search and Development of Young Talents" program.

The selection held in Ho Chi Minh City marks the final stop in La Liga's global journey of 5 cities spanning 3 continents: Rustenburg (South Africa), New York (USA), Dubai (UAE), Guatemala (Guatemala) and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
