The red flag with yellow star creation on the school yard opened the physical education festival "DTH Olympiad" with the theme "Following Uncle Ho's physical education example" for the 2024-2025 school year, which took place at Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School, District 1 today, March 27.

The festival is held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and is held on the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025), fulfilling Uncle Ho's call for all people to exercise.

At the festival, there were many exciting sports competitions. Such as the Vovinam martial arts performance by students; the final matches of tug of war and basketball between classes. Besides, there were also stations for students to participate in sports games. The names of the stations were named after historical themes, recalling the heroic years of our army and people, welcoming the 50th anniversary of the country's unification such as "I am a soldier", "Overcoming the fence", "Sweeping mines", "Loading ammunition", "Speedy wheel", "General offensive".

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong, Principal of Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School, said that the "DTH Olympiad" physical education festival was organized to enhance education on tradition and history for students.

At the same time, the festival creates a healthy playground for students of the whole school to exchange, learn, promote solidarity and creativity. The activities create a vibrant atmosphere and motivate students to try hard in studying, cultivating morality, training health, and increasing physical activity. This is also one of the activities to build a friendly, happy school with active students.
