NDO - Continuing the 36th Session, on the morning of August 21, at the National Assembly House, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly Standing Committee organized questions and answers on the implementation of the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questions from the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term to the end of 2023.

The question and answer session was broadcast live on the Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, Vietnam National Assembly Television, and connected online with 62 National Assembly delegations in provinces and centrally run cities. In his opening speech, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that at the 36th Session, the National Assembly Standing Committee conducted question and answer activities to review the implementation by the Government, ministries and branches of the 6 Resolutions on question and thematic supervision of the National Assembly Standing Committee from the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term to the end of 2023.

This is the first time in the term of the 15th National Assembly that the National Assembly Standing Committee has carried out the "re-supervision" activity, demonstrating the responsibility of the National Assembly Standing Committee in supervising to the end the implementation of the requests and recommendations of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee. Thereby, comprehensively assessing and clarifying the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process to have timely solutions to remove them, further enhancing the responsibility of the agencies subject to supervision. At the same time, it also demonstrates the companionship of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee with the Government in implementing and carrying out the requirements set forth by the National Assembly Standing Committee in resolutions on thematic supervision and questioning. The National Assembly Chairman said that the issues and areas that the National Assembly Standing Committee supervises thematically and questions are all important contents, of great interest to voters and people. Through reports and practical results, it is shown that the implementation of the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee has achieved many remarkable results, creating positive changes, demonstrating the determination and high sense of responsibility of the Government, the Prime Minister, members of the Government and heads of sectors, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs. However, some implementation contents are still slow, some effective contents and implementation results have not met requirements.

According to the program of the question-and-answer session, National Assembly deputies will question two groups of issues: the first group of issues related to the fields of industry and trade; agriculture and rural development; culture, sports and tourism; the second group of issues related to the fields of justice; internal affairs; security, order and social safety; inspection; courts; and prosecution. To ensure maximum efficiency in the use of time, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that each deputy raise questions for no more than 1 minute and that each question focus on one most important issue, within the scope of 6 resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee. Deputies are allowed to debate with the person being questioned to clarify the issue being questioned; deputies do not use the right to debate to raise questions or debate with the previously questioned deputy; the time for each debate is no more than 2 minutes, the time for answering is no more than 3 minutes for each question.

The National Assembly Chairman expressed his belief that with the intelligence, high sense of responsibility, practical work experience, deep expertise and a firm grasp of the actual situation in localities and bases of the National Assembly deputies, the question and answer session will take place in an exciting manner, in a constructive spirit, with a lot of information reflecting the current situation, with many proposals, recommendations and advice for the Government, Ministers and Heads of sectors in directing and operating, overcoming limitations, resolving difficulties and problems, meeting the expectations of voters and people nationwide. The National Assembly Chairman also believed that the members of the Government and Heads of sectors will continue to demonstrate a sense of responsibility, make the highest efforts, answer frankly and accurately the issues raised by the deputies, propose specific tasks, solutions and implementation deadlines, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks set by the National Assembly and the Government for 2024 and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. After the opening speech of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong presented a report summarizing the content of the examination of the National Assembly Council, the National Assembly Committees, and a report on the opinions of the People's Petitions Committee on the implementation of resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questioning from the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term to the end of 2023.
